SELLOUT 9/11 Opening Night

Foto Exhibition and Volcom Film Mr. Plant

Vernon Deck is a Zurich based Photographer.
For 2013 his job was to follow snowboarder Pat Moore around on his travels while filming for the new Volcom/Vans film titled “Mr Plant”

Only on the 17th Oct Vernon will show some of his pictures from these travels.
The film “Mr Plant” will also be screened in the bar.
One day only.

He will also show some more personal work, street portraits and dark scenics from nights in his home town of Zurich.

There will also be a room of small format prints titled “Take it or Leave it”, all of these prints will be fair game, come 11pm exhibition guests can take which ever ones they like best.

Free entry, open from 17.00
There is a bar, cash only.

‘Die Bilder wurden durch zufällige Begegnungen geschaffen, auf einem dérive, in einem Land das mir zuvor unbekannt war. Ich hatte es noch aus erster Hand zu entdecken, durch meine eigenen Augen, meine Kamera, mein Geist. Es ist ein selektiver visueller Dokument, ein Foto-Essay, eine Traum-Sequenz durch Japan. ‘The images were created by chance encounters, on a dérive, in a land unknown to me. I had yet to discover it first hand, for myself, through my own eyes, my camera, my mind. It is a selective visual document, a photo essay, a dream sequence through Japan. From Tokyo to the edge of the East China Sea, people and vistas, situations and locations both unique and unbeknown to me. The images are a collection of archetypal views, capturing scenes un-affected by in-depth study and to force the unknown quantity of my representation through the momentary split second capture.
